  • My husband and I just visited Killarney Lodge for the first time last month. We absolutely loved our two night stay. The scenery is breathtaking, the food divine and the cabins are well appointed. We will definitely return next summer. I wish we could get back sooner.
Also, I love your new website.

  • Hi Ashlinn! Glad that you guys had such a good time. Thanks also for the compliment about our new website. We’re thrilled with the reaction and all the positive comments … particularly about the photos on the site. We’ve been inundated with new enquiries … leading to first time bookings!

  • We have to thank you immensely for the most incredible dream come true. Bob has wanted to rent a cottage for a number of years now, and I haven’t wanted to cook and clean so we haven’t but then … Killarney was a dream come true. You couldn’t have picked a more perfect cabin! We watched the sun rise each morning, the moon rise each night … we dined like royalty. The pastry chef is first class, the Chief Chef unbelievable and if I say more, I fear that too many people will be lining up to visit and I’ll have to book a year in advance. Thanks for a fabulous trip.

  • Thanks for your kind comments. We’re delighted that you both had such a good time. We did have some beautiful nights while you were here. Each evening after coming back from closing the gate I would walk down onto the dock to watch the moonlight shimmering on the lake. Last night, while I didn’t see it, I heard our “resident” beaver loudly slap its tail in the darkness 🙂 Thanks again Julie & Bob, and hope to see you back again next year.

  • Hi Eric and Poppy,

We made a very last minute trip this saturday to your beautiful lodge. We were fortunate enough to get your last cabin. We had a fabulous time .. again. Your staff is fantastic! Talking with Kim was like talking to family. The views from cabin 29 are amazing. The greeting from the loon just as we walked up was so beautiful and then just as we were leaving in the exact same spot. Stunning!
I spoke with another of your staff regarding the stone lamp in our cabin. I would very much like to find the company that makes them if you would be so kind to email me their information.
…Finally (right down the road from the lodge) after eight trips we saw the most spectacular moose and were able to get amazing photos of him. Enjoy your time this winter.

  • We just returned from another glorious weekend at Killarney Lodge. The meals were fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the banana cream pie. All the pies have been great, and the crusts are flaky.
The Killarney special hamburger yesterday was very flavourful. The staff as usual were very hospitable. There is a great feeling of being welcome.
We enjoyed hiking in the Park, and just relaxing at our cabin, reading and watching the loon.
    Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

I think I’ll start planning my next stay.

  • Thanks Jeff & Christine. It was nice having you back again and we’re glad that you enjoyed yourselves so much.
Those homemade hamburgers for our Saturday lunch have been incredibly popular. Guests rave about them, and just yesterday the cooks told me that they represent 50% of the orders.
We will look forward to your next visit 🙂

  • I could not resist to be in your lodge at least one full day this year.
Algonquin Park is our Santuary and Killarny Lodge the Cathedral.
This year I will take my son Chris with me.
I am certain that it will one day in heaven. It will be October 8, 2012.

  • I came here for what has remained the holiday of my lifetime, back in September 1981. This was the first time my husband and I had been away together and this was the most exquisite break it could be! Saw so much, went on fabulous trails, had cosy no. 9 cabin, food and people fabulous and loved canoeing on the lake. I pray I will come back one day! Everyone has heard how great you are. Thank you for helping create a life long memory. It’s been impossible to beat

    Comment by Lauren Feist — February 4, 2013 @ 14:00

  • Hi Lauren! Thank you so much for writing after all these years and telling us about your wonderful lifelong memory. We’re been here since 1984 so we would have just missed your visit. Cabin #9 is one of the original log cabins built in 1935 and it’s still there, right at the water’s edge. We’re made some improvements: tripled the size of the bathroom, laid hardwood floors throughout, raised the cabin higher and put on a nice large deck so you can sit and watch the lake. As far as the meals go, people who’ve been coming since your time say that the food is even better … and now you can bring your own wine into the dining room. We certainly hope that you will be able to make it back here at least one more time before too long 🙂 Best wishes!

  • I have been remiss in not commenting on our last visit. Our first visit to Killarney was in May, 1963 on our honeymoon, we went back again for our 25th wedding anniversary, 10 years ago with my cousins from England and then this year for our 50th wedding anniversary again with my English cousins. All of us, my husband Bruce, and Terry and Sally cannot say enough about the lodge. We loved our cabin, the food and the atmosphere. The dining was superb and the extra touch of champagne and chocolates in our room was much appreciated. Thanks again, for making our stay(s) so special. Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review of the lodge.
We are honoured that you would choose Killarney lodge not only for your honeymoon but also for your milestone anniversaries 🙂
We will pass onto our staff your kind comments about the lodge!

  • Your lodge is the perfect place to explore the park along the Highway 60 corridor. Many of my best photos have been taken on the trails just minutes from your wonderful place. I wish you were open in the winter too!

    Comment by Allan Joyner — August 29, 2014 @ 18:35

  • Hi Allan! Hmmm … not sure about winter … we all need a break a some point 🙂 Look forward to having you and the “girls” visit again sometime soon. Eric

  • After checking many different places, we chose Killarney Lodge and booked 4 cabins for a family celebration for our 50th wedding anniversary. However, we had trepidations as the event approached. How would our six grandchildren ages 4 to 15 respond to a rustic weekend experience? Our fears were groundless. Grandparents, parents and grandchildren were delighted with every aspect of our stay. Everyone enjoyed the gourmet meals and the excellent menu choices. The staff was so accommodating for a grandhild with food alergies. Canoeing was such fun. A canoe trip for lunch on the island and then continuing up the river to the falls was a highlight event for everyone. Even the youngest children were able to don their life jackets and enjoy fun with the rest of us on the raft in the swimming area. The largest cabin was large enough to accommodate the adults and older children for games in the evening. On our final evening a bottle of champagne on ice awaited us in our cabin when we returned from dinner, – such a thoughtful gesture. Thank you to all of the staff for making our anniversary celebration such a special time.
