Hi Lauren! Thank you so much for writing after all these years and telling us about your wonderful lifelong memory. We're been here since 1984 so we would have just missed your visit. Cabin #9 is one of the original log cabins built in 1935 and it's still there, right at the water's edge. We're made some improvements: tripled the size of the bathroom, laid hardwood floors throughout, raised the cabin higher and put on a nice large deck so you can sit and watch the lake. As far as the meals go, people who've been coming since your time say that the food is even better ... and now you can bring your own wine into the dining room. We certainly hope that you will be able to make it back here at least one more time before too long :) Best wishes!

I came here for what has remained the holiday of my lifetime, back in September 1981. This was the first time my husband and I had been away together and this was the most exquisite break it could be! Saw so much, went on fabulous trails, had cosy no. 9 cabin, food and people fabulous and loved canoeing on the lake. I pray I will come back one day! Everyone has heard how great you are. Thank you for helping create a life long memory. It's been impossible to beat

I could not resist to be in your lodge at least one full day this year.
Algonquin Park is our Santuary and Killarny Lodge the Cathedral.
This year I will take my son Chris with me.
I am certain that it will one day in heaven. It will be October 8, 2012.

Thanks Jeff & Christine. It was nice having you back again and we're glad that you enjoyed yourselves so much.
Those homemade hamburgers for our Saturday lunch have been incredibly popular. Guests rave about them, and just yesterday the cooks told me that they represent 50% of the orders.
We will look forward to your next visit :)

We just returned from another glorious weekend at Killarney Lodge. The meals were fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the banana cream pie. All the pies have been great, and the crusts are flaky.
The Killarney special hamburger yesterday was very flavourful. The staff as usual were very hospitable. There is a great feeling of being welcome.
We enjoyed hiking in the Park, and just relaxing at our cabin, reading and watching the loon.
Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

I think I'll start planning my next stay.

Hi Eric and Poppy,

We made a very last minute trip this saturday to your beautiful lodge. We were fortunate enough to get your last cabin. We had a fabulous time .. again. Your staff is fantastic! Talking with Kim was like talking to family. The views from cabin 29 are amazing. The greeting from the loon just as we walked up was so beautiful and then just as we were leaving in the exact same spot. Stunning!
I spoke with another of your staff regarding the stone lamp in our cabin. I would very much like to find the company that makes them if you would be so kind to email me their information.
...Finally (right down the road from the lodge) after eight trips we saw the most spectacular moose and were able to get amazing photos of him. Enjoy your time this winter.

Thanks for your kind comments. We're delighted that you both had such a good time. We did have some beautiful nights while you were here. Each evening after coming back from closing the gate I would walk down onto the dock to watch the moonlight shimmering on the lake. Last night, while I didn't see it, I heard our "resident" beaver loudly slap its tail in the darkness :) Thanks again Julie & Bob, and hope to see you back again next year.
