Sheila & David Ellis arriving Sunday |
Message: |
Welcome Sheila and David to this most Canadian of Canadian lodges. We know you will be well looked after, have fabulous meals and wonder at the magnificent scenery. Do take advantage of the house canoe - there is simply nothing more blissful at this time of year than drifting along accompanied by a loon or two close to beautiful Killarney Lodge.
Enjoy your stay!

Oh ---the Soup! |
Message: |
We had the pleasure of lunching at Killarney Lodge this past Sept. while visiting Algonquin for an extended period of time. It had been
a little wet and cold so this was a perfect solution. What a treat! And the butternut squash soup was absolutely delicious. In fact, I'm requesting the recipe.
It is well worth the drive to Algonquin just for lunch at Killarney Lodge. |

Visit to Killarney Lodge |
Message: |
On a whim, I googled Killarney Lodge to see if it still existed. I was thrilled to see your web site and recognize the cabins and surroundings. My husband and I visited on a 3800 mile whirlwind trip from our home in St Louis, Missouri to Washington D.C., Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Niagara Falls and Toronto. Traveling with two children, by the time we reached the Algonquin Park, we were exhausted. When I go to my "quiet place" now, I always picture myself sitting on the porch of one of your cabins in a rocking chair watching my family fish. I think I sat there for two days straight, not moving except for sleep and meals, which by the way were exceptional. Hope someday I will be able to return. |

2008 visit |
Message: |
My girlfriend Susan and I are SO looking forward to visiting again. We have been visiting off and on for 13 years. We were last there 2 years ago...Sue's Dad was really ill, and has sadly passed away. I was VERY ILL also, and I really thought it would be the last time I ever saw Killarney. I was too ill to walk far, hike, or paddle, but I loved it still. THIS YEAR my best friend and I will celebrate our birthdays, AND our lifelong friendship at the lodge. THIS YEAR I plan to DO IT ALL having received the "GIFT OF LIFE" through a heart transplant just this past EASTER SUNDAY!...It will be a time to renew, reflect and BE JOYFUL in all that life has given us, despite bumps in the road...Centennial Ridges... HERE I COME!!!

A Natural Heavenly Place! |
Message: |
We stayed for the 1st time, Jun 16-18, 2006 & are already talking about going back. The cabins, the lodge, the staff & the FOOD...absolutely amazing! We were looking for a couple days to just relax & enjoy good food & good company ... we found the best place! Not only is the lodge beautiful but so is the landscape, the lightning storm, the geese, the ducks & the famous singing of the loons. What a great place...can't wait to visit again. Thanks for everything...oh ya, the pecan pie...mmm, mmm, mmm!

Moose & Foxes |

Dear all,
it was a great experience for my kids, my wife, my parents, my brother, and my mother-in-law to be your guest. We have enjoyed the cleanliness of the lodges, the great food and the fantastic surroundings. Even if the weather is sometimes not sunny, we would definitely come back and would love to spend more than only two nights in the lodge.
Best regards

How About For Kids??? |
Message: |
Killarney Lodge sounds wonderful bu I am wondering...is their enough entertainment for my 6 and 4 year old?
Killarney Lodge answers: Thank you for your enquiry. Children are welcome at Killarney Lodge, but we do not have orgainised activities or babysitting services. We do have a nice sandy beach with a grassy area, and most children are happy playing there, as well as hiking and canoeing with their parents. During the summer months the Algonquin Park visitor centre has childrens' programs as well. For more information please email us at info@killarneylodge.com and check the website www.algonquinpark.on.ca
We hope to see you and your family at the Lodge this summer! Poppy & Eric |

Great Time! |
Message: |
My wife Leighanne and I just returned from our recent visit to Killarney Lodge. Overall we found our experience enjoyable and extremely relaxing (that was extremely important after a very highly stressful 6 month period at work.) The staff was great, however in particular, one of the servers in the dining room (B.L.) should be particularly commended. Her relaxed attitude, friendliness and laughter helped make our dining experience an absolute joy. Her approach fit in well with the relaxing atmosphere of the Killarney Lodge experience. We'll definitely be back. Thanks and good luck!
Peter and Leighanne.

Secret Haven |
Message: |
We discovered your 'haven' on one of our trips to Canada, and now talk of it often to any friends who are thinking of trevelling to Ontario from the UK. What makes it special? A few things - the owners who treat everyone as family; the lodges which are delightful' the food which is amazing; the lounge area where you can sit for hours reading or playing games. It is a fantastic find, and we have to force ourselves to share 'our secret place' with others. The perfect place to switch off from business and enjoy each other and beautiful surroundings.

Wonderful memory |

We just got back from our trip and I just had to look up this site on the internet to have another look at this wonderful place! We loved the cabins, the food, the whole park, the canoe and I still quite can't get over the view from the cabin. Thanks! |
